The Council for Affordable Health Coverage (CAHC) and the Health Benefits Institute (HBI) submitted joint comments to the Internal Revenue Service as it considers solutions to the so-called “family glitch.”

The Health Benefits Institute was created to bring thought leadership and policy solutions to the competitive health care market. Consumers and employers need modern health care options and there is a pressing need for the development of policy and tailored advocacy that defends market-based health care, including the unique interests of both consumer-driven and nontraditional health care products.

New laws and regulatory changes have expanded employer and consumer health options:  giving them choices based on their specific needs.  This has created a unique opportunity for market growth, but it has also drawn attacks from those looking to thwart this growing segment of the health care industry.
