HBI Comments on Public Option RFI

HBI submitted comments today in response to a request for information (RFI) from Chairman Pallone (D-NJ) of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and Chairwoman Murray (D-WA) of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions relating to the implementation of a public option. HBI’s comments pushed back on the proposal that a public option would solve many of the problems facing American health insurance, and instead suggested tangible changes that could make existing public and private insurance options work better for patients.
